How to Get The Job At Your Favorite Hotel as A Housekeeper

You don’t want to work at a hotel that doesn’t care about you.

Your job is to keep the house clean.

That means making sure your bathroom is clean, your laundry room is clean and your bathroom fixtures are clean.

And cleaning the hotel room.

There’s a lot of hotel rooms that aren’t doing that.

And there’s a whole host of hotel workers who are doing it.

The problem is, they don’t have a good enough reason to, because the hotels are doing so much to keep them clean.

The same thing happens when you’re a housekeeper at a fancy hotel: They just don’t care if you clean your room.

And they don to.

“I know it’s hard,” says Emily St. John, a housekeeping trainer at New York City’s Metropolitan Hotel and the author of a new book, Housekeeping on Fire: How To Be A Highly Effective, Accurate, Responsible, and Professional Housekeeper.

“But I think it’s the right thing to do.

If they’re cleaning it, you’re doing the work.”

And if you can do it, they’ll clean it.

Here’s how to get started.


Determine Your Requirements There are two requirements for a hotel housekeeper: you need to be able to work nights and weekends, and you have to have a valid job and a minimum of three years experience.

It might seem like a daunting task, but it’s not.

Most hotels are pretty forgiving about your job requirements.

You can work nights if you have a job, you can work weekends if you don’t, and in some cases, you even have the option of working nights.

“It’s very rare that a hotel will let you come in and work nights,” says St. Johns.

“Most hotels don’t allow you to work on Saturdays, because it’s so dangerous.”

And in some places, like Europe, you might have to work in the summer, which means you might be required to be up early to clean the house.

But even if you do have to do a job during the summer (or if you just want to have the day off), St. Johnson says you can still make a career out of cleaning a hotel room, so long as you’re not a liability.

She also recommends that you check with your employer first.

“Even if you’re working for a private company, your job is still important,” says Michael D. Cohen, a hotel and restaurant industry analyst at the consultancy research firm Technomic.

“Your hotel’s reputation, your reputation with guests, and your reputation in the industry.”

For instance, a guest who has to be on the guest room floor is more likely to notice if you’ve been there for more than five minutes or if you leave a mess.

If you want to be a high-profile hotel employee, St. Kitts recommends you get a job with a high level of visibility and visibility with the hotel, something like the managing director of a major hotel chain or senior vice president of a large hotel.

And you should also check with the hotels own HR department, because they’re generally pretty lenient about cleaning duties.

“The hotel industry has a reputation for not being good about cleaning,” says Cohen.

“A hotel’s probably going to be looking at this job, and they’re going to see how well you perform and how much you can contribute.”

If you don, then you’re probably better off getting a job in a hospitality industry with higher pay and better perks.


Pick A Job That Will Get You Paid While You’re At The Hotel It’s a little trickier to find a job that will get you paid while you’re at the hotel.

Many hotels are already using a different method to get paid: Guest reviews.

If a hotel has a hotel review site, it will ask you to complete a survey, which will then get your pay.

“If you have an online survey, then it’s like you’re just getting paid on a computer screen,” says Sondra Lohr, a personal trainer who teaches personal finance at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

“When you go to the hotel you’ve basically got to go in and do your work.

And if they have a computer in there, then they can track your progress.”

But the online survey will likely not get you enough money to cover the costs of a hotel stay.

So if you want a job at a large or prestigious hotel, it’s best to pick one with a paid internship program.

You could work for a year or two on the internship, but you might get to stay longer if you decide to go to a major or prestigious university.

“You can work on a different part of the company,” says Lohs.

“That’s what I do at my company.
